SUNDAY CLASSES
SUNDAY CLASSES
Learn with others on Sunday mornings
Every Sunday we offer classes and discipleship opportunities from 9am-10am, before our service starts at 10:15am. The classes offered during that time change every few months, so check back here to see what classes are currently being offered. There's no need to RSVP or register for a class - just show up at 9am ready to explore Scripture and make new friends.

James
led by Richard Draffin and Curtis Hawkins (Room 100)
The Epistle of James had a difficult time getting into the New Testament canon, and Luther called it a “right strawy epistle”, but it is an amazing composition, often feeling like a sermon on various topics of concern. Famous for the claim that “faith without works is dead,” James is sometimes seen to be in opposition to Paul, but that is probably a misinterpretation. James has been an important player in the development of the church’s doctrine over the years. It displays strong influence of the wisdom tradition, and has many parallels to the gospel of Matthew. Please join us for a prayerful study of this wonderful epistle, written by the brother of our Lord, James, the leader of the early church in Jerusalem. Each lesson is self contained, so please come whenever you can.
