There's no need to RSVP or register for a class - just show up at 9am ready to explore Scripture and make new friends.

Faith Seeking Understanding Class: Micah
led by Richard Draffin and John Paderson (Room 100)
Portions of the book of Micah are very familiar to us, but much of the book is not. Micah is identified by location (town of Moresheth in southern Judah) and was active for many years from around 740 BC to ?700 BC. The book is a series of oracles, not necessarily in chronological order, stressing judgement and forgiveness. Major themes include the character of God, which demands justice and which promises mercy, delivered through a messianic Davidic king-like figure; covenant loyalty, which requires more than ritual observance; and the gathering of the nations in Zion to worship the Lord, which fulfills the longstanding promises of scripture that Israel will be a light to the nations. Judgement leads to hope, but the people of God must first be loyal to God. Please join us!
Fellowship Class - Mark
led by Molly Williamson (Room 206)
Join us as we walk through the gospel of Mark using King's Cross: The Story of the World in the Life of Jesus by Tim Keller. In this study, we will see how the story of Jesus is at once cosmic, historical, and personal, calling each of us to look anew at our relationship with God. In keeping with our class tradition, we highly value prayer and informal discussions as we explore God's Word together.
God's Covenants with His People
led by various teachers (Room 101)
Our God is a personal God, one who deeply desires relationship. He is faithful in His pursuit of us as individuals and as a body. In an age that often resembles ancient patterns of people trying to reach their own gods and appease them, this 7-week Sunday School class will remind us all of the one true God who established a covenant with Abraham - and therefore - each and every single one of us. God relentlessly pursues His people. Let us learn how to honor this truth by accepting it and living it out in our daily lives. If you are interested in joining the email list for this class and may need to purchase the book, sign up here. This class begins on January 4.
