Let’s Get Together on Sundays!

JOIN US ONLINE OR IN PERSON

• We offer an 8:30 AM & 11:00 AM “in-person” worship experience and a 11:00 AM Live Stream service.

We will continue to provide a Live stream of our Sunday worship service from the Sanctuary on Facebook at 11:00 AM every week. Feel free to continue participating via Live stream if you feel that is the wiser option for you. Additionally, the recording will be available after that time on our Sermons Page.

• Elderly and handicap parking is available in the front circle for both services.

• Check out all the safety details for in-person worship in the sections below.

• Our Session meeting last month we decided to relax the social distancing policy for Sunday worship.  That simply meant we have allowed you to sit where you feel comfortable doing so rather than in designated spaces. Masks are currently required due to our Durham County mandate.

Safety Protocols

We're prepared for you!

Let’s all do our parts! The most helpful way to ensure safety is by your own self-assessment.

If you’re feeling ill, have been exposed, or have had a fever in the past 14 days, we ask that you join us online at 11:00 AM.

Face Coverings are Required

We are very much aware of the rise in numbers in Covid cases which include breakthrough cases for some who have been vaccinated. In order to be as safe as possible we will continue to follow our city's direction in wearing face coverings when in the building and continue to have hand sanitizing stations readily available. We encourage you to attend only if you are comfortable and feel safe doing so. Perhaps more than ever before we recognize that life in general has to do with risk management. We take a risk when we get into our cars, but have concluded that it is a risk worth taking for the benefit we receive.  We will each have to assess the risk/reward factor as we deal with this virus including attending in person worship. We believe there is great benefit associated with in person worship, but there is also risk and I depend on you to use your good judgment in what is right for you and your family. We will continue to offer an online worship presence as we have done since the beginning of the pandemic.

Social Distancing

Chairs will be set up for proper social distancing in the Family Life Center and families living in the same household may sit together. Otherwise, in the sanctuary you may sit anywhere you feel comfortable.

Restrooms + Water Fountains

You may use the restrooms as needed. Water fountains will not be used at this time.

Children’s Worship

Children’s Worship will be offered for ages 4-9 at each service following the Children’s Message in the Sanctuary. Leaders and kids will wear face coverings, and will meet in room 102. Our worship will include getting to know each other and God, with a focus on bible study, prayer, games and conversation about how we live as Jesus’ followers.

Children’s Worship Kits

Individual family boxes have been prepared for you, containing pencils, crayons, paper, fidget busters (silent) and worship prompts for each week.

Nursery

Each Sunday we will offer Care and Share (a bible story) for toddlers through 3 years in the Upstairs Nursery Suite at 8:30am and 11:00am. Staffing for the nursery suite includes a paid caregiver and volunteers.

Music

We will have special music provided by individuals or small groups.

Touchless Experience

An offering container will be just inside the FLC and sanctuary doors. No offering plates will be passed. All worship materials will be printed for one time use.

Coffee

During this phase, coffee will not be served and water fountains will be turned off. You’re more than welcome to bring a beverage with a lid from home, though!

Sanitization

Our facilities will be cleaned during the week. Touchless hand sanitizer will also be available throughout the building. We encourage you to sanitize your hands as you enter and leave worship.

Communion

It will be served on the First Sunday of the month. We are using self-contained communion cups, which you can pick up as you enter the FLC.  Folks who need gluten free please bring your “bread” from home.

Prayer Concerns & visitors

We will not have prayer requests shared verbally in the service but will invite them to share their concerns in an email prior to the service. You may also fill out the prayer request card found in the pews as needed. If you are a visitor, please fill out the guest card in the pews so that we may have your information to contact you for contact tracing or just to say hello and welcome you to TGC.

Discipleship Hour

We have several options for our Discipleship Hour. Some will have a hybrid option. More details here.

WE ARE SET UP FOR SAFE SOCIAL DISTANCING

Ushers will help seat and dismiss you in an orderly way.

Chairs will be grouped as family units and singles to accommodate everyone who wishes to come.

Park in the back parking lot only and enter through the double red doors into the Welcome Center for the 8:30 AM service.

*NOTE: We recognize that adding a service creates an "overlap" in programing with the discipleship hour. Two of the classes have chosen to remain at 8:45 AM and there is another meeting at 11:15 AM.
