Single & Parenting

Help & Hope for Single Parents

If you’re a single parent, you’re probably tired, overwhelmed and feeling a big underappreciated.  That’s why Single & Parenting groups were formed – to share tips and parenting wisdom that will help you find rest, hope and encouragement.  Our group meets from 6:00-8:00PM each Thursday evenings September through December.

It is a 13 week program open to widowed, never married, divorced, custodial and non-custodial single parents and recognizes the difficult the role of a single parent functioning as both a mother and father, dealing with their own emotional issues, working, dealing with finances, and still providing a loving, christian home for their children. Such topics as, "Tired and Overwhelmed" "Money and Career" "Parenting Tools", "Money and Career" and Dating and Sexuality" are addressed in videos taught by counselors, ministers and other single parents. The video is followed by a facilitated discussion and group interaction. All of our facilitators have experienced single parenthood.

Plus, you’ll develop meaningful friendship with other single parents, who, like you, are tired of hectic mornings and chaotic evenings, the kids fighting, and a never-ending to-do list.
